You may wish to be advised if your claim can be handled through the Irish Courts. A good example is the recent case of Kelly v Groupama in which the Irish High court applied French law in the assessment of damages for personal injuries arising from an accident in France.
The Irish High court had to consider if it could have regard to the level of compensation which might be awarded in Ireland.
